So me and my friend decided to play bedwars with 1.8 client because it would look better since it has the oldcombat animations and the server also has OldCombatMechanics plugin but once we were in the game we found out theres a glitch in 1.8/1.7 version which doesn't allow a user to climb ladders. These items did work now and everything else worked.

It was a bug but that plugin has been discountined so I could do nothing about it and decided to upgrade my 1.12 server to 1.16. But there were some items in the SBA Hypixelify plugin which was not working like fireball and tnt. I setup the bedwars minigame and it was working great. Then I decided to add these following plugins: Screaming BedWars, SBA Hypixelify, OldCombatMechanics, ViaBackWards, ViaRewind, ViaVersion. I found some bedwars map but they only worked with version 1.8- 1.12 So I made a 1.12 server with that map. So basically me and my friends wanted to make a bedwars server. Long Story: This is might be too long so you don't have to read this. I also wanted to know if there is a better way to downgrade instead of using the flag. So I just wanted to know what the flag was.

But I have heard there is a flag which basically stops paper from giving this warning and allows it to downgrade. I also do know its usually not recommended to downgrade as it corrupts the world and paper has a warning which basically says this if I try to run 1.16.5 server with 1.14.4 paper ': Server attempted to load chunk saved with newer version of minecraft! 2586 > 1976' So doesn't let me downgrade. Short story: I have a paper 1.16.5 server and apparently found a cool plugin that I want to use but it only works for 1.14.4 or lower for some reason. Join us on Discord for in-depth discussions! Drag extracted map folder which you have done in step 2 into saves folder.

minecraft folder, then open saves folder.

Type %appdata% into the Run program, then press Enter.
